Please tell us about you and your family
Born into a family of 5 children in 1939. My Mum was a Nurse and Father had a Foundry- iron and aluminiumcastings. Married twice, One Daughter by my first marriage and StepMum to two Daughters by my second marriage to my present husband Alex. I have two adorable Grandsons with a new Grandchild expected this July. We are owned by a yellow Labrador Retriever named Sandy.
Tell us about your interests and hobbies
Painting,Walking anywhere really and looking at things, collecting all sorts of bits and pieces of nature either in the Country or on the beach.
Reading - well I used to read a lot, P D James,Lynda la Plant, Dylan Thomas.
King Solomons Mines is my favourite book of all time. Most poetry, went through a dreadful period of Sylvia Plath once when I was depressed - it did not help! All I seem to do now is fractals, it is a magnificent obsession.
Tell us why you picked your nickname if you have one
Alex calls me Jimmy - don't know why- must be a Scottish thing.
If you had one wish what would it be?
Peace and Harmony
What movies, books, songs do you like?
Don't go to the Pictures. I used to when young, talking to Michael Nathan recently, discovered we both liked the 50's English Alex Guiness films, black and white comedies.
How long have you been using Fractal Explorer?
About 18 months- found it completely by accident and could not keep away from it
Why did you join FE Users Group?
To see others finds, to be able to post my own, and have free discussion, input and comments from people who share the same interest
